Dr. Diana Aga is a University Distinguished Professor and the Henry M. Woodburn Professor of Chemistry at the University at Buffalo (UB), The State University of New York, USA. She is the Director of the UB RENEW Institute (Research and Education in eNergy, Environment, and Water), a university-wide and interdisciplinary initiative, focusing on complex energy and environmental issues. As an analytical chemist, her research focuses on the fate, transport, effects, and treatment of chemicals of emerging concern and persistent organic pollutants in the environment, including PFAS. She is an expert in target and non-target analysis using liquid chromatography with high-resolution mass spectrometry. She is a Fellow of the American Chemical Society (ACS) and has received various awards (e.g., NSF CAREER, Fulbright Fellowship, Alexander von Humboldt Fellowship).
